You Deserve to Be
Seen and Understood

It Doesn’t Have
To Be This Way

My clients frequently describe themselves as stressed, anxious, and/or depressed. Overwhelm, self criticism, and shutdown can come easily. A lot of my clients identify as people-pleasers, planners, and perfectionists. Underneath all of this is frequently self doubt and shame. We will work together to get curious and better understand all of this, in order to help you feel better.

Individual Counseling

At Rebecca White Counseling, individual therapy is more than a service—it's a partnership in your healing and transformation. If you're navigating life's complexities—whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or work-related stress—I provide a safe, confidential space for you to be authentically yourself. Leveraging evidence-based modalities like Attachment Theory, IFS, and SE, we'll co-create a therapeutic experience that not only helps you manage immediate challenges but also equips you with tools for lasting well-being. Here, you're not just surviving; you're thriving, understanding yourself on a deeper level, and reshaping your life into one that truly resonates with who you are.

Trauma-Specific Counseling

As a mental health professional with 20 years of experience in the field, I recognize the profound impact that past experiences can have on your wellbeing. At Rebecca White Counseling, my trauma-informed approach acknowledges that healing requires sensitivity, respect, and a deep understanding of the ways trauma can shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together we will create a safe haven where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, free from judgment. Through evidence-based and trauma-specific therapies like IFS and SE, I will guide you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment; help you reclaim your narrative; and encourage you toward a future infused with renewed hope and possibility.

Counseling for Therapists and Other Helpers

If you're a therapist or helper, you're no stranger to the emotional toll that caregiving can take, often leaving you in need of the same care and understanding you provide. At Rebecca White Counseling, I offer a unique therapeutic space tailored just for you—where you can unpack the emotional complexities, vicarious traumas, and the often blurred lines of professional and personal boundaries. In a confidential and compassionate setting, we'll use evidence-based approaches to explore your own emotional needs and restore your inner balance. This is your sanctuary to recharge, reflect, and reconnect with your own well-being, ensuring you can continue your invaluable work not just effectively, but joyfully.

Evidence-Based Counseling

I only use well-researched and tested therapy modalities. Person-centered therapy forms the foundation of my therapeutic approach. This means that I strive to understand you and all of your unique qualities as well as provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore your concerns. I integrate attachment, Internal Family Systems (aka IFS or "parts" work), and somatic/body-based approaches like EMDR and Somatic Experiencing (SE) through a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens. I have been deepening my knowledge of both Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems over the past few years, and really enjoy using these approaches with clients. If you are someone looking for these specific interventions, get in touch with me. I would love to help you with your IFS or SE journey!
